Interprofessional education (IPE) is an important part of every medical education. The lack of IPE implementation in today's medical curriculum has a negative impact on the implementation of interprofessional collaboration (IPC) in health facilities and it leads to bad communication also the collaboration between healthcare workers which contributed to 70-80% of medical errors in health services in the nation.
Therefore, On Saturday 27th March 2021, SCOME CIMSA FK UIN SH had a collaboration project with DEMA FIKES UIN Jakarta, has provided an opportunity for both of students in Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Health Science UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta to increase their knowledge about collaboration in our health system, in an activity called UIN Health Collaborative (UHC).

UHC was a one-day event that consisted of webinar with a focus group discussion in there to increase our participant’s knowledge about IPE and IPC. The event started at 08.00 a.m with opening speeches from both project officers, the local coordinator, the president of DEMA FIKES, and the board members from both FK and FIKES. After that, we continued with webinars which were guided by our moderator and senior of CIMSA, Nabila Arifaizha S.Ked. The first topic was “The Concept of Interprofessional Education and Interprofessional Collaboration” which was brought by dr. Amandha Boy Timor Randita, M.Med.Ed from the Indonesian Young Health Profession Society (IYHPS) and followed by the second topic “Implementation of Interprofessional Education and Interprofessional Collaboration in the World of Health” by dr. Mahesa Paranadipa Maikel, M.H. as an internal lecturer from FK UIN SH. We also provided QnA sessions with both of them. The event continued with the focus group discussion and after that one group is given the chance to present their discussion back in the main session. The activity ended with a brief explanation about our poster competition which is open for all focus discussion groups and a photo session.

In the end, we are grateful for knowing that our participant's average post-test score at the end of our event has increased. We hope that UHC will have a positive impact on our participants in understanding the importance of collaboration in the healthcare world through IPE and IPC. Last but not least, we also hope that our members from CIMSA FK UIN SH could use this knowledge and apply it to other medical students as a way to empower them to improve our nation’s health.
