1. Greetings, doc! It’s such a pleasure to be able to meet you. Could you tell us about yourself and a little bit about your recent activites?

Lately I have been busy being the COVID-19 Task Force in the field of health management, helping people to deal with COVID-19. Last week I finished my works in Makassar, now currently have a duty in Bali and next week in Papua.

2. Wow amazing, could you share to us your experiences while being a COVID-19 volunteer ?

I am in charge of health management, where health management has some sub-fields. I was in a sub-field that proceed in handling the medical waste. This job requires me to survey the areas to see how the medical waste is handled.

Since COVID-19 outbreak, a lot of medical stuff has been used causing the medical waste also increase drastically. The likes of disposable hazmat has been one of the main problem and this needs to be managed.

3. Wow, what an experience kak. Being a COVID-19 volunteer, Were there any obstacle that you faced? tell us a little bit more about it, doc!

There are of course many difficulties in dealing with COVID-19. starting from the bureaucracy, especially people's behavior. When I visited the areas there were still many people who were not disciplined about using masks and had not implemented health protocols.

4.What lessons did you learn at CIMSA that are being applied in today's world of work?

The most obvious thing is in terms of networking, I am currently working in the COVID-19 task force where there are many great people and about my past in CIMSA, I knew how to interact and also work with them. Including as simple as how to chit-chat, presentations, that is the most useful yet important thing that I got from my experiences in CIMSA.

5. Could you explain to us why did you decide to join CIMSA?

When I was a newbie, in my eyes CIMSA was the most attractive among other organizations. Where I feel most suited to and can help me grow. Before I decided to join CIMSA, I was a shy person and I could not organize something because I had no experience at all. Suddenly, I saw the atmosphere and environment which I believed it can support me and trained my interpersonal skills.

6. Why did you decide to be a Local Coordinator of CIMSA UIN 2014-2015

Initially I did not decide to be a Local Coordinator CIMSA UIN 2014-2015, at that time I registered as a national FNMD. However, my heart at that time was more likely to be a Local Coordinator, therefore I decided to focus on running for LOCO because it had worked and the support of my friends. Alhamdulillah I was elected in that time.

8. After being a Local Coordinator, why did you decide to be a Regional Coordinator Regional 3 of CIMSA 2015-2016? What advantages did you get from being the RC Regional 3 of CIMSA?

I still really want to be active at CIMSA after I finished my periods as Local Coordinator CIMSA UIN. At that time there were many large translocal projects, I was happy because CIMSA's local network in Jakarta and its surroundings was very wide, and at that time YARSI was an observer CIMSA Regional 3.

9. Wow, how did you handle the communication between the locals, doc?

What is certain is that I created a communication group, since it was busy at that time, I obliged at least 1 period when I obliged to meet face-to-face and I always do a personal follow up.

10. What was the most memorable moment when you were in CIMSA, doc?

I thought that all of my moments in CIMSA were so memorable. However, the most memorable moment in CIMSA was being the top local CIMSA on 2nd and 3rd periods 2014-2015 became a turn back point for CIMSA UIN

11. How do you increase the member's love for CIMSA?

The most important thing is make a sense of belonging, where members must have a large participation, meaning we have to involve them more in decisions, in creative matters and critical thinking. at CIMSA, if you want to get the benefits, we are pursuing opportunities to get these benefits. There are so many opportunities available at CIMSA, it's a shame to miss every opportunity. Hold a bonding every period, try to stay overnight so that the members feel this is our home.

12. Wow all of your stories seems so exciting, doc! Before this interview ends, Do you have something to say for the member and newbies of CIMSA UIN?

If you want to get something at CIMSA, be a proactive person, don't be embarrassed and insecure, make more relations from CIMSA. Take the advantages of all the opportunities from CIMSA.
