1. Greetings, kak! It’s such a pleasure to be able to meet you. Could you tell us about yourself and a little bit about your recent activites?

Hi CIMSA! Now, I am feeling a little bit of ease this week since I’m currently not in any clinical rotation. First of all, I am Faisal Ravif but some people call me “Apep”. Today, my daily activities consist of being a clinical student in Fatmawati hospital. Everyday, in the hospital I always spend my time learning about new things and in my spare time, me and my friends like to play music with the guitar. And about CIMSA, I joined CIMSA in 2014. When I was in CIMSA, I chose SCORA. After that, I wasn’t satisfied with just being a member, so in 2015 I decided to become the Vice Local Coordinator for Internal Affairs CIMSA FK UIN SH 2015-2016 and CIMSA Trainer

2. Why did you join CIMSA as one of your organizations?

In the past, I had never joined an organization, therefore, when I was in college I saw this as my chance to develop myself. Then, during the organizational introduction, I saw that CIMSA was a very exciting organization and very supportive in developing my soft skills. However, once I entered CIMSA I felt CIMSA was a very influencing organization and that’s why I want to contribute more than just being a member.

3. So, could you tell us the story of how you decided to be Vice Local Coordinator for Internal Affairs?

Before I decided to become a Vice Local Coordinator for Internal Affairs, I actually applied for Local Coordinator. However, it turned out that there were two candidates as Local Coordinator. As a result, after discussing with my CIMSA members, they were more supportive of me candidating as a Vice Local Coordinator for Internal Affairs (VLI) instead. After I became a Vice Local Coordinator for Internal Affairs, I realized that my passion was indeed here.

4. Then, what did you do when you were a Vice Local Coordinator for Internal Affairs and how did you maintain your time between academics and CIMSA?

At that time, I handled the 2013 and 2014 generations. However, the problem that always existed in each generation is about the missing members, as if they had been swallowed up by the earth. Therefore, I focused more on 2014 but I also don't forget to always invite members of 2013 to join projects, events, etc. The thing is with being a Vice Local Coordinator for Internal Affairs, I had to be a more kind-hearted person to hear complaints from my friends, especially my officials. And for maintain my time, I usually choose which one I had to prioritize, depends on the situation. I would deal with my priority first and then work on the other matter gradually.

5. It’s such an incredible experience! As an advance trainer too. Could you tell us more about why you decide to be a trainer?

When I was an Organizing Committee (OC) of Training New Trainers (TNT), I saw a lot of TNT participants with very interesting communication skil. So, that day I thought that if I could join this training, I could develop my skills in public communication. The last motivation to be a trainer is to train my way of speaking and intonation to be easier for others to understand. From there, I decided to become a trainer.

6. It’s Amazing! Now, what are the advantages of becoming an active member of CIMSA for you?

Wah, I got a lots of benefits here, such as increase my networking, sharpen my soft skills, learning to educate to society, time management and many more.

7. Wah, all of your answers sounds like great stories! Before this interview ends. Do you have something to say for the member and newbies of CIMSA FK UIN?

Never think about what you will get when joining CIMSA, but give your maximum effort in CIMSA, so the end of your effort you can get what you need!

Okay kak. Thank you for your time and we wish you have a great day!
